Chestnut Mushroom & Caramelized Onion Tart
A rich and savory tart, perfect for a light meal or appetizer.
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 cup Chestnut Mushrooms, sliced
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
½ tsp thyme
½ cup shredded gruyere or parmesan cheese
1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Heat oil and butter in a pan, sauté onions until caramelized (about 15 minutes).
Add mushrooms and thyme, cooking for another 5 minutes.
Roll out puff pastry on a baking sheet and prick with a fork.
Spread the mushroom mixture over the pastry, leaving a ó-inch border.
Sprinkle cheese over the top and brush edges with egg wash.
Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
